Kicking Convenience to the curb
About a month ago I noticed that I had been giving my 3 boys chicken nuggets for dinner way too often. Even though I buy a brand that is supposed to be reasonably decent health-wise (hello dinosaur chicken nuggets from the Mountain View Costco), it just can't be good for kids to have beaks and claws as their main source of nutrition.
So I sucked it up and just stopped buying them. Although...
As adults, we pay good money for cartillage supplements. Anyone know if chicken cartillage is good for any maladies? Please? I'm no Stephania, and coming up with creative yet easy dinner ideas that my kids will actually eat is kind of bringing me down.
I'll pay good money* to anyone who can find me scientific studies to support my fervent hope that dino chicken nuggets, and specifically their random chicken parts additives, are healthy for kids.
(* And by "good money" I mean "no money", just my everlasting gratitude.)
