Your usual household cleaning products may not be doing you much good. Many of the products we tend to buy to clean our homes are full of toxic chemicals that are harmful to the environment and to our families. Switching to natural products and making your own cleaning solutions will save you money while improving the health of your family and the planet.
Baking soda is a wonder product when it comes to natural cleaning. Make your own paste with water and use it to clean your oven- just leave it on for a few hours and then wipe away for an amazing finish. It can also be mixed with water and borax for a home made scouring powder.
Citrus And Vinegar
Take leftover citrus fruit peels and put them in a jar with undiluted white vinegar. Leave it for a few weeks and you’ll have an amazing cleaning product that can be used all over your home, from your windows to your floors and surfaces. Vinegar can also be used mixed with water for a wonderful all-purpose cleaner- mix the ingredients and put them in a spray bottle to use everywhere.
Skip the bleach and pour a cup of baking soda into your toilet, then leave it for an hour. You can then add a cup of white vinegar, leave for five minutes and flush. This should leave it shiny and new.
