The Best Baseball Stadiums In The US
Our son is a complete baseball fanatic, so when we go on vacation it always makes sense to try and include a visit to some ball parks to keep him happy. While he’d be thrilled to visit any baseball stadium, we’ve found that some are more fun for the family than others. Here are our top picks:
Citi Field, NYC
My husband was born and bred in NYC, and he’s all about the Mets (no mention of the Yankees in our house, please), so a visit to Citi Field is a must when we visit the Big Apple. The best thing about the new Citi Field stadium is its food- it’s a whole lot more than peanuts and crackerjacks. You can get gourmet meals while you watch the game, from lobster rolls to ribs and pizza. The diversity of NYC is reflected in the amazing selection of food at Citi Field, and my husband is also a fan of the massive beer selection.
Marlins Park, Miami
We visited Florida recently and went to see a Marlins game, and we were very impressed by the vibrant and exciting atmosphere of this stadium. My kids loved the huge fish tanks filled with beautiful tropical fish, and there’s tons of entertainment accompanying the game, from DJs to dancers. This is a really beautiful stadium.
Fenway Park, Boston
The home of the Red Sox is a great visit just because of its long history. This stadium still has its original architecture, so it really feels like you’re stepping back in time. Even if you’re not a big Red Sox fan, you can appreciate the buzzing atmosphere and amazing community spirit that accompanies Fenway Park, and it’s a great way to round off any trip to Boston, which is a beautiful historic city.
